Limits & credits
How billing and limits work.
Every request is billed against your account balance at TokenRoute's rate. When your balance reaches zero, requests return 402 until you top up.
Per-key limits
Each API key can have an optional spend limit. Once a key reaches its limit it stops working, even if your balance is positive - useful for capping individual integrations.

See real-time token usage and cost on the Activity page, grouped by model and key, or fetch /api/v1/credits and /api/v1/key.
